Pilot Project Brewing is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Brewery Representative to manage sales within the Madison, Wisconsin Dells, and La Crosse regions. We are looking for an organized, motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for nurturing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities, and driving business growth. You will champion Pilot Project Brewing’s values by leveraging our diverse portfolio of incubated brands and utilizing effective sales techniques to boost visibility and sales in the marketplace. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craft beer, possess excellent sales skills, and be committed to helping us achieve our sales and distribution goals through consistent, strategic market activity.

About Pilot Project Brewing Company

Pilot Project Brewing is a brewery incubator, tasting room & restaurant located in Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI. Pilot Project was launched as a collaborative and artistically curious space to help support talented brewers in an industry with exceptionally high barriers. Modeled after the music industry, Pilot serves as a launch pad for start-up breweries, offering assistance with recipe R&D, production scaling, marketing, distribution and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Market Expansion: Drive the growth of Pilot Project Brewing’s portfolio by increasing distribution, volume, and overall market presence.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts in your designated territory.
  • Sales Planning & Execution: Use data to create sales plans and efficiently manage routes, with an expectation of 40 account visits per week. You will be in the field for 4.5 days per week.
  • Brand Advocacy: Represent Pilot Project Brewing at consumer-facing events, market activations, and samplings (availability to work nights and weekends required).
  • Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed quarterly sales goals to ensure market success and focus.
  • Marketing Leadership: Lead and execute marketing programs to increase brand awareness and drive sales within your region.
  • Market Communication: Regularly communicate with sales management to provide insights on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity.
  • Travel: Occasional travel to additional markets as required.
  • Driving: Navigate a large geographic territory and represent Pilot Project Brewing at various locations.

  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable, street-legal vehicle (car allowance provided).
  • Must be over 21 years of age.

Preferred Experience:

  • A BA/BS or relevant post-secondary education (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • 2-3 years of sales experience, ideally in the beverage or hospitality industry.
  • Cicerone certification (or a willingness to pursue) is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 35-pound cases and maneuver 165-pound kegs.
