Job Title: Brewer II (Overnight)
Reports to: Director of Quality, Brewhouse and Cellar Operations
Department: Production
Classification: Full-Time; Non-Exempt
Hours: 7:00 pm - 4:00 am, Monday-Friday

Brewer II’s perform advanced brewhouse and cellar tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Performing these tasks with consistency and quality is key to brewing distinguished beers.
Responsibilities
Brewhouse
- Wort Production per the brewing schedule
- Performs brewhouse spa days
- Performs Heat exchanger and Mash-Tun CIPs
- Performs O2 Stone CIP and Maintenance
Cellar
- Filters and transfers beer into brite tanks
- Performs filter module changing/cleaning/maintenance tasks
- Harvests, pitches, preps yeast
- Performs fermenter and brite tank CIPs/SIPs
- Fermenter and Brite tank additions
- Taps, stores, racks casks with breather
Facilities and Equipment
- Collects weak wort
- Performs wastewater ph adjustment and discharge
- Diverts solids to side stream tank
- Operates centrifuge
- All other maintenance and facilities tasks as assigned
Other Responsibilities
- Monitors and contributes to Basecamp and shared logs on Google Drive
- Contributes to SOP improvement
- Participates in meetings as necessary
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ years of brewing, distilling, or cider/wine making experience in a production facility
- Brewing education may be considered in lieu of some experience
- Forklift Operator’s Certificate
Required Abilities
- Able to lift up to 65 pounds independently from floor, at waist level, and above waist
- Able to team lift up to 165 pounds, and may maneuver (not lift) using a dolly up to 330 pounds
- Agile enough to twist, crouch, bend and stoop multiple times per day
- Ability to ascend and descend from stairs frequently throughout the work shift
- Ability to withstand moderate to extreme temperatures for extended periods of time
- Can stand for 10+ hours per day
- Can understand and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
