Fractional Head Brewer  Part-Time

The Role

Winch & Pulley is looking for an experienced brewer to run our brewhouse on a fractional basis. You'd have full ownership of production for our core lineup and be the creative and technical lead on rotating seasonals and one-off collaborations. This isn't an assistant role — you're the brewer of record, working with a flexible schedule that fits around other commitments.

What You'd Own

• Brewhouse operations for our existing beer lineup, start to finish
• Recipe development and execution for seasonal releases and collab beers
• Quality control, cellar management, and batch scheduling
• Coordination with our production team on brew-to-can timing

The Setup

• 20 BBL brewhouse, 800 BBL tank/cellar capacity
• Taproom-attached facility, member of the Brewers Association and Massachusetts Brewers Guild
• You set the cadence — this is built for a brewer who wants meaningful hours without a full-time commitment, or who's ready to run a brewhouse and wants a low-risk way in

Who We're Looking For

• Working brewer with hands-on production experience — head brewer, assistant head brewer, or equivalent
• Comfortable owning a brewhouse independently between visits
• Strong on recipe development, not just execution
• Wants either supplemental income at a rate that reflects real experience, or a path to running their own program

Pay

$40–45/hr. This is intentionally above market — we're looking for someone with real chops, not filling a shift.
