TITLE:  Brand Ambassador

STATUS:  Full-time, salary, exempt 

About the role:

The Brand Ambassador is part of Highland’s sales team and will provide sales support in on-premise channels throughout Highland's home market which encompasses a 100-mile radius around Asheville, excluding Southern Virginia. As our Market Brand Ambassador, you keep Highland Brewing visible and bring our world‑class portfolio to life through on‑premise activations and sampling events supporting team goals and our distributor partner priorities. The ideal candidate is engaging and energized by great beer, meaningful community impact, and the chance to connect with people every day. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Work with direct supervisor and Market Development Managers to maintain relationships with key retailers in assigned areas.
• Maintain positive relationships with distributor sales personnel and work tirelessly on our shared goals.
• Provide event and market recaps with attention to detail, photo content, and action items.
• Execute beer tastings, special events, and festivals.
• Educate wait staff and customers about Highland products, prior to and during activation events.
• Communicate Point of Sale (POS) needs  and maintain proper inventory levels for events.
• Be a champion for Highland Brewing's brand, products, and brewery destination.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred for advancement in role.
• Cicerone Level One certification preferred.

 Experience:

• At least two years working in the on-premise environment as a bartender or bar staff.
• Any sales-related experience is a plus.

 Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to follow a schedule and plan ahead for weekly tasks, with attention to detail.
• Genuine appreciation for beer
• Positive energy and quick to build rapport with people.
• Interest in and/or willingness to learn, draft beer maintenance, off flavors and quality standards; including troubleshooting.
• Experience or familiarity with "VIP" or "Karma Notes" is a plus.

 Travel:

• Company vehicle provided.

• Willingness to travel "out of area" i.e. Asheville, 50%, is required.
• Willingness to travel overnight, roughly 30% monthly, is required.

 Other Requirements:

• Must be 21+.
• Must have valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be familiar with safe lifting techniques.

 At-Will Employment:

Employment with Highland Brewing Co. may be terminated by either Highland or the employee at any time with or without cause or notice.
