BREWER/CELLAR TECHNICIAN

Reports to: Head Brewer

Overview: UNION Craft Brewing is currently looking for a full-time Brewer/Cellar Technician. This position provides support to the Head Brewer and production team and performs daily cellar and brewing tasks while maintaining company policies and ensuring that products meet UNION Craft Brewing’s high-quality standards. It is essential for this position to communicate regularly and effectively with the Head Brewer to ensure all responsibilities are fulfilled safely, efficiently, effectively, and accurately. The ideal candidate will be professional and motivated. 

Duties:

• Handles all fermentation tank and brite beer tank actions after brew day and before packaging day
• Responsible for the general cleanliness of the cellar, brewhouse, and materials area 
• Handle other miscellaneous tasks related to production
• Responsible for all aspects of wort production including material preparation, all brewhouse operations, brew tank preparation, brew day yeast handling
• Participate in all sensory exercises
• Expected to relay any issues or inconsistencies with equipment, beer quality,  or wort quality to the head brewer in a timely manner

Schedule: 30+ hours/week, Monday-Friday
