About Us

Gizmo Brew Works, a Raleigh-based craft brewery founded in 2013, has grown into a multi-market operation serving North Carolina from Winston-Salem to Wilmington. Known for our creativity, quality, and collaboration, we brew on both a 20-barrel production system and a 7-barrel small-batch system, producing approximately 3,000 barrels annually. We’re proud to craft beers that excite both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers alike. We’re now seeking a talented Brewer to join our brewing operations and help shape the next chapter of our growth.

Position Overview

The Brewer will participate in all aspects of brewing production, recipe development, and cellar management across both systems. As a small company, the Brewer will work closely with the Head Brewer, ownership, operations, and sales to ensure Gizmo continues to deliver unique, high-quality beers that stand out in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to day-to-day brewing operations, including wort production, fermentation, cellaring, packaging, and quality control.
• Follow SOPs for brewing, sanitation, safety, and quality assurance.
• Contribute to the development and refining of recipes across a wide range of beer styles, from core flagships to seasonal and specialty releases.
• Track data (efficiency, yields, lab results) to continually improve processes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional brewing experience.
• Deep knowledge of brewing science, fermentation, recipe development, and sensory analysis.
• Experience with a range of brewing equipment (brewhouse, canning line, kegging, lab equipment).
• Passion for craft beer, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lift 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks in a production environment.
